The Times Virginian reports that after 32 year old Tyrone Dillard’s wife and mother testified about his character, Circuit Court Judge Kimberley White said she was taking into account the positive aspects they mentioned such as being a good father, husband, and worker as she determined how much prison time to give him. Dillard was arrested in 2012, after law enforcement officials found cocaine, marijuana, and $2,600 at his home. He was sentenced to 10 years and six months for possession of drugs with the intent to sell, the minimum sentence allowed, the judge said, for this offence.
