Eureka Elementary School in Charlotte County has received a distinguished achievement award as part of the 2013 Virginia Index of Performance.

School principal Andrew Heintzleman says he’s proud of the school receiving the award.

The school was among several in the state that were awarded and recognized by Governor Bob McDonnell and the Virginia Department of Education.
