The driver accused of hitting and killing a Buckingham County man and injuring a state trooper in Amherst County is set to go on trial next month.

Matthew Gardner’s two-day jury trial is scheduled to begin on April 29 in Amherst.

A grand jury indicted Gardner for reckless driving and involuntary manslaughter after the April 2012 wreck.
