We might not have Clifford the Big Red Dog, but we have Dharma the Saint Bernard…and if you ask us, she’s even better. Meet this week’s Green Front Dog of the Week! 

 

Falling in love with this sweet lady isn’t hard to do. When the Southside SPCA rescued her from a rural animal control, they were head over heels! She’s the perfect size for hugs and the ultimate couch cuddles, and she’s ready to provide. Dharma is a social butterfly and an enthusiastic learner—she already knows several commands!

 

“I’ve got ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ down,” Dharma says. “I just need a forever home to ‘stay’ in!” 

 

At just 12 months old, Dharma weighs 82 pounds, which is slightly underweight for her breed. She’s expected to weigh 100 pounds at full size. 

 

“I’m not done growing yet, but I’ve already got room for you in my heart,” Dharma adds with a tail wag.

 

Home ownership is required to adopt Dharma, and a fenced yard is preferred. Potential adopters should have large breed experience as well as the time and financial resources to provide positive reinforcement training. Dharma will also need outlets for her puppy energy, so her adopter should be ready for lots of outdoor adventures and snuggle time!
